Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Fortáy Home website and any services provided by Fortáy Home (referred to as Fortáy, we, us, or our). By visiting this site, requesting a consultation, or engaging our services, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site or our services.

Fortáy provides home organization, concierge, and lifestyle management services in New Jersey and surrounding areas. Services may include space planning and organizing, seasonal resets, move preparation and unpacking, styling, hosting support, errands, scheduling, and coordination of household projects.

All services are provided by appointment and are subject to availability. Service offerings, service areas, and team capacity may change over time.

Most engagements begin with a consultation so we can understand the scope of your project. Following the consultation we provide a custom quote based on scope, hours, materials, and any third party costs.

Pricing is presented transparently before work begins. Estimates are good faith projections rather than fixed bids. If the scope of a project changes, we will communicate revised pricing for your approval before continuing.

Appointments are reserved for you and are scheduled in advance. We ask for reasonable notice if you need to cancel or reschedule, ideally at least 48 hours before your appointment, so we can offer the time to another client.

Late cancellations or repeated same day changes may result in a fee for the reserved time. If our team must cancel, we will notify you as soon as possible and offer the next available appointment.

A deposit may be required to reserve project dates. Invoices are issued for completed work, hours, and any approved materials or vendor costs, and are due on the terms noted on the invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Accounts that remain unpaid past their due date may be subject to a late fee and to suspension of scheduled work until the balance is resolved. Materials purchased on your behalf are billed at cost unless your quote states otherwise.

Fortáy gift cards may be applied toward services and are non transferable unless we agree otherwise in writing. Gift cards are non refundable and carry no cash value. They may not be redeemed for cash except where required by law, and lost or stolen cards cannot be replaced without proof of purchase.

Our team treats your home and belongings with care. You are responsible for identifying items of unusual value, fragility, or sentimental importance so we can handle or exclude them appropriately, and for removing or securing valuables, medications, firearms, and confidential documents before work begins.

By scheduling services you grant Fortáy and its team permission to enter and work within the areas of your property covered by the engagement, including any access instructions, codes, or keys you provide. You confirm that you are authorized to grant that access.

Fortáy carries reasonable business insurance. Our liability for property damage is limited to direct damages caused by our negligence, and does not extend to pre existing conditions, normal wear, items disposed of or donated at your direction, or losses that are indirect or consequential.

Members of the Fortáy Preferred Vendor Network, along with any other trade, installer, mover, cleaner, or specialist we suggest, are independent businesses. They are not employees, agents, or subcontractors of Fortáy unless expressly stated in writing.

Fortáy may refer vendors and coordinate their scheduling as a convenience to you, but we are not responsible for the pricing, workmanship, timeliness, licensing, insurance, or conduct of third party vendors. Any contract for that work is between you and the vendor.

We photograph completed spaces only with your consent. With your permission, photographs may be used on our website, social media, and marketing materials. Photographs are taken without identifying personal details whenever possible, and you may withdraw consent at any time by writing to us, in which case we will stop future use of those images.

All content on this site, including text, photographs, layouts, graphics, and the Fortáy name and logo, is owned by Fortáy Home or used with permission and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.

Plans, systems, labeling schemes, sourcing lists, and other materials we prepare for you may be used for your household. They may not be copied, resold, or distributed for commercial purposes without our written permission.

This site and its content are provided on an as is and as available basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Fortáy Home and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential damages arising from your use of the site or our services. Our total liability for any claim relating to a service engagement is limited to the amount you paid to Fortáy for the specific services giving rise to the claim.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or from our services will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey.

We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The revised version takes effect when posted on this page, and the date above will be updated. Continued use of the site or our services after a change means you accept the revised terms.
